Visit the former summer residence of Sissi and Franz Joseph during the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy (1867–1918). The Baroque palace, 30 km from Budapest, was built in the middle of the 18th century; its first owner was Count Antal Grassalkovich, the personal lawyer of Queen Maria Theresa of Austria. The interior visit and the walk through the gardens of the palace give you a glimpse of life under the Austro-Hungarian Empire. With the help of your guide you will become acquainted with the secrets of the royal couple’s private life: the hidden doors, the bedrooms and the lovers.
